On Sunday, February 26, The Power of Meditation, a dynamic Dahn Yoga meditation event, took place at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu. The several hundred people who attended the gathering were treated to live music, inspiration and laughter. Opening performances also included traditional Hawaiian drumming, hula dancing and a martial arts performance in the form known as Chun Bu Shin Gong.
One of the most exciting moments of the event featured the honoring of Dahn Yoga founder, Ilchi Lee and his many achievements with IBREA (International Brain Education Association). Amy Agbayani, Chief Advisor of Hawaii's Governor, presented the proclamation of Ilchi Lee and IBREA Day, while Representative Joey Manahan, Member of the Hawaii State Legislature, honored Ilchi Lee with a certificate of appreciation.
The Hawaii Power of Meditation event is part of a multi-city tour that allows individuals to celebrate the health benefits of meditation. In 2012 the tour has already stopped in Chicago, New York, Washington, D.C. and Portland, Oregon.
