Verbatim cites access to an extensive media contact database, media monitoring and analytics, and the ability to consolidate its public relations activities on a single comprehensive platform, as the key reasons for choosing Vocus.

McGuire-Marshall also noted that the Vocus system is just one part of the company’s move to revamp its overall marketing efforts. Verbatim made a range of storage devices, like removable thumb drives which can be used to save and share photos, available for bloggers for review. Verbatim also ran a contest that provided bloggers with products to give away to their readers.

“These products are of interest to both bloggers and to their readers,” said McGuire-Marshall. “We’ve also received a great deal of market research by way of feedback from this campaign.”
