The thrill of the race has fans ordering 2013 Preakness Stakes tickets and once again the Kentucky Derby is responsible for the surge in demand at Preferred Seating Tickets. The come from behind victory from the Derby favorite Orb has fans once again thinking Triple Crown and placing bets on the winner.

“Ticket sales for the Triple Crown races typically pick up when favorites win the Derby” says Greg Cullen of Preferred Seating. “And then so does the betting".

It often just takes a great finish at the Kentucky Derby to spur the sales of Preakness Stakes tickets and when Orb crossed the finish line after his dramatic come from behind victory the interest in the second leg of the Triple Crown picked up. The sports ticket professionals at Preferred Seating Tickets have been selling tickets for all of the Triple Crown races since 1987 they’ve seen the impact a win in the Derby can have on the Preakness and Belmont Stakes ticket sales.

“Ticket sales for the Triple Crown races typically pick up when favorites win the Derby” says Greg Cullen of Preferred Seating. “And then so does the betting". But it doesn’t mean you should go out and place a bet on Orb or for that matter any horse to win the Triple Crown. Given that there have been only 11 Triple Crown winners in the history of Thoroughbred Racing and the last time was in 1978 the odds don’t favor a chance of collecting any winnings on that bet.

Many fans consider the best seats at Pimlico Raceway to be right at the finish line so they can capture the moment themselves and the Grandstand Lower Box are the seats most often requested because of the fantastic view from the second floor. The Grandstand Upper Reserve provides indoor seating for a little more comfort and safety from the elements. For a lot less money the seats down the final stretch in the Grandstand Concourse Reserved section provide a good view of the race and the cheap seats are in the standing room only section and in the infield.

The Preakness and the Belmont Stakes don’t have the prestige of the Kentucky Derby but then ticket prices are much cheaper as well. Many of the best horses from the Derby will be going to the Stakes including Orba and Goldencents and there’s still plenty of time to lock in tickets and bets before the “Run for the Black-Eyed Susans” on May 18th.

Preferred Seating Tickets is a leading secondary ticket seller for major sporting events throughout the country and all of their Preakness and Belmont Stakes tickets are backed by their 100% guarantee. Fans can order tickets online or call 800 427-3914 for more information or to place their order over the phone.
