In an effort to help existing and prospective teachers meet the challenge of tougher certification standards and teacher evaluations, PrepForward, a leader in teacher preparation, is expanding their current scholarship program. Now current educators and future educators from any U.S. state may apply.
Each semester 5 deserving, committed adults will be chosen for a PrepForward scholarship. Award recipients will be given free access to any reading, writing, language arts, or math PrepForward course that they would like to help them with teacher preparation. Applicants may be at any stage in their teaching career, including teacher candidates preparing for state certification exams, and current teachers who are seeking professional development.
“We are committed to raising the standards for teacher performance and diversifying the educator workforce,” said Mary Stephens, Founder of PrepForward. “Prospective teachers need support to successfully meet the tougher licensing standards being introduced in many states. In addition, existing teachers need help ensuring they have strong fundamentals so that they can continue to succeed in the classroom.”
