Utilizing Krystal Bond™ Technology, the one piece stainless steel sensing element will measure pressure in the most extreme temperature conditions.
Mount Olive, New Jersey (PRWEB) July 27, 2012
American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST) has released the AST46SW explosion-proof pressure switch. Complementing its complete offering of explosion proof pressure transmitters, the AST46SW offers a single pull, double throw configuration with factory-set switch points and hysteresis.
Utilizing Krystal Bond™ Technology, the one piece stainless steel sensing element will measure pressure in the most extreme temperature conditions. Standard models are configured with 316L, 17-4 PH, or Inconel 718 materials. With a maximum operating pressure range up to 20,000 PSI (1,378 bar), the AST46SW will maintain high performance with zero signal drift due to an extremely thick and robust sensing diaphragm. Microprocessor technology produces excellent performance over a wide temperature range; advanced electronics additionally result in a compact overall size (one inch diameter and less than five inch overall length).
The AST46SW is CSA-approved for use in hazardous areas including Class 1 Div 1 Explosion proof Groups A, B, C and D, and for mining applications, Class 2 Div 1 Groups E, F and G.
While the technology used to manufacture the AST46SW pressure switch is based on pressure sensor technology, the cost of the unit remains extremely competitive in the marketplace. For ranges under 10,000 PSI, pricing starts at $325 each, with quantity discounts available.
About American Sensor Technologies, Inc.
American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST) manufactures MEMS pressure sensors, pressure transducers and pressure transmitters that offer the best price-performance ratio in the industry. Manufactured in New Jersey, AST pressure sensing products are built with a full selection of hazardous area and industrial approvals to service customer applications. Common industries utilizing AST sensor products are industrial OEM hydraulic systems, fuel cells, medical gases, HVAC, refrigeration (ammonia, Freon, CO2), Oil & Gas exploration and production, and off-road vehicles. AST’s exclusive, proprietary Krystal Bond™ Technology (an advanced process in which inorganic materials are molecularly diffused onto a metallic surface in the presence of certain gases) produces high-performance pressure sensing products through the use of a single piece of stainless steel. AST offers a variety of UL and CSA approvals for Explosion-proof, Intrinsically Safe, and Non-incendive pressure transmitter applications.
