First American Payment Systems announced it has just released its proprietary, web-based Pricing Model, designed to help forecast the amount an independent sales organization - and its agents - can expect to make in revenue each month.

The payment processor released its proprietary, web-based Pricing Model, designed to help forecast the amount an independent sales organization - and its agents - can expect to make in revenue each month.

The tool, developed in-house, was created in response to ISO partners who wanted to simplify their sales agents' ability to estimate their profitability before signing merchants with First American.

"We saw the need in our industry for our ISOs and sales agents to see the whole picture while in negotiation," Jones said. "We believe this tool will drive profitability to comfortable level for the office and agent."

Because the user-friendly Pricing Model allows users to make instant changes to variable numbers, agents in bidding wars can win the accounts by making simple adjustments. The tool is remotely accessible via the Internet, so sales agents can make such changes at the merchant location.

The First American Pricing Model is unique in that sales agents - in addition to ISOs - can produce estimations for themselves. "To the best of our knowledge, we are the only company that can accurately push the Pricing Model down to the agent level," Jones said, adding the tool is valuable for agent recruitment.

Profitability estimates are based on First American's historical data. For example, an agent can indicate the merchant type in the tool, such as a doctor's office, and see average outcomes based on other doctors' offices that have processed through First American.

ISOs and individual sales agents will now have the ability to run a professional model in only five minutes, equipping them with the information they need to make educated decisions. Because of this, First American is positive the Pricing Model will be one of its most valuable assets.
