Carnival Cruise Lines’ newest 130,000-ton ship Carnival Breeze is entering service in June 2012 starting with a debut 12 day Mediterranean cruise departing from Venice on the 03rd June 2012.

This special 12 day maiden voyage includes some of Europe’s most popular and iconic destinations with ports of call at Dubrovnik, Athens, Izmir, Messina (Sicily), Olbia (Sardinia), Rome (Civitavecchia), Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Monaco, Marseilles and finally Barcelona.

As Carnival’s newest “fun ship”, the Carnival Breese offers an array of exciting features such as WaterWorks – an aqua park with water slides, SportSquare - an open-air recreation complex with miniature golf, a ropes course and outdoor fitness area, and The Lanai - a wraparound promenade with whirlpools extending over the ship’s sides, and a 270-square-foot poolside LED screen displaying movies.

Other notable features are: the RedFrog Pub, a lively spot for tasty island-inspired snacks and drinks, including its own private label beer; Cucina del Capitano, which is a family style Italian restaurant; plus, and as expected from Carnival, there’s the dedicated play areas for children, as well as a two-level health and fitness centre.

Once the maiden voyage has been completed, Carnival Breeze is set to commence its summer schedule of 12 day Mediterranean voyages from Barcelona. These 12 day cruises will typically include stops at Marseilles or Monaco, Livorno, Naples, Dubrovnik, Venice, Civitavecchia (Rome) and Messina.

After its summer Mediterranean schedule is complete, Carnival Breeze will head to her winter home port of Miami; ready for its winter season of voyages around the fabulous Caribbean. However, prior to that, if transatlantic cruises are your passion, the transatlantic crossing Carnival Breeze will undertake to take her from the Med to Miami is available to book as a 15 day cruise, taking in the ports of Palma de Mallorca, Malaga, Las Palmas, Antigua and St. Maarten.
