New York, NY (PRWEB) August 22, 2011
Peter A. Antonucci, shareholder in the New York City office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP, was recently recognized by the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) with the Law and Public Service Committee’s Honor Roll Award.
The award, presented at the American Bar Association’s annual meeting in Toronto, Canada in early August, was given to Antonucci for his pro bono representation on behalf of the families of dozens of firefighters who were killed during the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and for his work as a member of the board of directors of the Alzheimer’s Association and chair of the organization's annual 2011 New York City gala which raised over $1.2 million.
The Law and Public Service Committee oversees the efforts of the TIPS’ public service and legal pro bono projects. The committee recognizes attorneys who have displayed a longstanding commitment to pro bono work and exemplary public service.
Antonucci received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and B.A. from University of Rochester.
