Burlington, MA (PRWEB) February 29, 2012
SPEC Process Engineering & Construction is launching a comprehensive process engineering forum on their new website (http://www.spec-eng.com/forum). The forum launch is the most recent in a series of steps taken by the company to become an authoritative process engineering resource not just for clients, but for other engineers as well. SPEC operates in New England and New York State.
SPEC engineers and partners are volunteering their time to participate in the forum to answer process engineering-related questions. SPEC’s almost 20 year experience in solving complex process scale-up projects, regulatory compliance issues, and equipment specifications and installations provides a strong basis from which to host an engineering forum. Current discussion categories include: Process Issues, Equipment, Regulatory Compliance, and Control Systems.
Any user can ask or answer a question, simply register to participate. The forum will be monitored by SPEC’s engineers to insure the quality of information being posted.
The driving force behind SPEC launching their engineering forum is to fill a gap they have experienced firsthand regarding the lack of knowledge available online for these complex process engineering questions. While many other engineering forums exist, few of them provide useful or concrete advice for process-related issues, and frequently it can be hard to find answers to the more complex questions without a lot of digging. The answers can often be outdated or irrelevant. SPEC’s goal is to better serve the engineering community by providing a well-designed and useful forum to share this knowledge.
SPEC has plans to integrate the forum more closely with social media down the road as it gains momentum and to better gain exposure to the engineering community. In the meantime the forum can be accessed at http://www.spec-eng.com/forum.
