This holiday season ServeNow.com, a network of pre-screened process servers, is participating in the Lawgical Community Food Drive, a virtual canned food collection that encourages process servers and legal professionals across the country to donate to local causes. With estimates that up to 25% of the population is struggling to put food on the table for their families, ServeNow.com asks process servers who are able and the legal community as a whole, to join in and donate to local food banks.
“This is a great opportunity for process servers across the country to donate to charitable causes as a group,” ServeNow.com co-founder Trent Carlyle explained. “It’s also a way to highlight the good that process servers do for their local communities on a national scale.” Process servers are encouraged to donate non-perishable items such as canned and boxed goods or to make monetary contributions in lieu of individual items if preferred.
ServeNow.com plans to donate their portion of the contribution to Feeding America, the largest anti-hunger group in the United States. Feeding America has various donation centers across the country.
The current can count, participating process serving firms, and additional information can be viewed on the Lawgical Community Food Drive Page of ServeNow.com. Contributions from process servers, private investigators, bail agents, and the legal community will be highlighted throughout the drive with a can counter, photos, and updates on Facebook and Twitter.
Process servers and legal professionals who want to participate can sign up here. The drive will run until Christmas Day.
ServeNow.com, a subsidiary of LAWgical, is the most widely used source for finding process servers worldwide. ServeNow.com assists lawyers, paralegals, legal assistants, and the public in locating local process servers and legal support professionals.
