Procura, one of the leading providers of Home and Community Care software, today announced the release of Procura 7. Focused on automating workforce management and the complex scheduling needs of home health care, this release features sophisticated predictive scheduling, automation of communication, online access to information for field staff and optimization of scheduling, driving routes and mileage, to dramatically streamline the workforce management process.

"There's a whole lot packaged in Procura 7," says Warren Brown, President of Procura, "Its transformative functionality and accompanying workflow provides users with a sophisticated tool that maximizes the efficacy of the most valuable asset of every home health care organization - its workforce. Combined with a renewal of the user interface that mirrors common office applications, this release is, in a nutshell - more powerful and easier to use."

The Scheduling Genius, introduced in Procura 7, automates scheduling processes by consistently applying "assignment of work" rules to ensure that the most suitable personnel are identified for each visit. Offers of work and schedule changes are then automatically generated and electronically conveyed to field staff. "Shifting communication away from the telephone increases accuracy and improves productivity by allowing Coordinators to focus on more complex tasks like urgent booking requests and complicated service plans," says Brown.

Significantly enhanced in this release, Procura's Employee Portal allows field employees to respond to offers of work, access their schedule, and requests changes in availability online at any time eliminating manual paper-based processes and reducing the burden on administrative staff.

Procura continues to enable the mobile workforce with its Point of Care Solutions including a personal home page for clinicians - the Procura Clinical Day View - to ensure integrated care delivery at the patient's home with electronic charting and Care Planning with clinical pathways.

Finally, Best Route, an integrated route planning solution, promises to optimize scheduling and mileage costs and reduce time on the road by reviewing schedules in advance and reordering visits to create an optimal route.
