Canadian Management Centre, which has been providing outstanding training and professional development since 1963, today announced the appointment of John Wright as President and Managing Director.
Mr. Wright succeeds Greg Breen, who retired in December.

“I’m honoured and excited to be a part of Canada’s leading training and professional development organization,” said Mr. Wright, who has more than 25 years of senior level experience in business-to-business and business-to-consumer professional services. He served as President of Wunderman Canada, and as a Senior Vice President and a member of the Executive Committee of LoyaltyOne, the creator and manager of the AIR MILES Reward Program.
“The Canadian Management Centre brand means excellence, “ said Mr. Wright. “Our clients include such organizations as CIBC, Imperial Oil, the City of Calgary, Shoppers Drug Mart and NAV Canada. Last year, more than 15,000 Canadians enrolled in our public and customized programs for business.”
Mr. Wright is clear about his goals for the Canadian Management Centre.

A self-described “long-term student,” Mr. Wright believes that “high-quality training is essential for organizations committed to ensuring productivity, developing talent, and acquiring and retaining employees.”

Mr. Wright has a passion for education.
He earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and an MBA from York University, Schulich School of Business, and has extensive experience as an educator and facilitator.
For four years, he was Chair of the Education Committee of the Canadian Marketing Association, leading the way to the creation of Canada’s first marketing industry certification program. To date, more than 1,700 professionals have completed the program.
He was a facilitator with the Institute of Communication Agencies for seven years, and currently serves as a Faculty Advisor with the organization’s new Masters Certificate in Brand Communications.
