The new, live Virtual Seminars feature CMC’s high-quality, practical content in a dynamic new format that provides real-time online interaction among the course leader and seminar participants in a facilitated exchange of ideas. As a globally recognized, national provider of traditional classroom based seminars, this is another practical, real-world learning opportunity from CMC at a time when Canadian companies need to invest in their key people.
CMC currently has 13 seminar titles including "Fundamentals of Finance and Accounting," "Management Skills for New Supervisors and Managers," "Moving from an Operational Manager to a Strategic Leader and Thinker," "Time Management," and "Improving Your Project Management Skills: The Basics for Success." All of CMC’s new Virtual Seminars are open to the general public.
"CMC’s live, Virtual Seminars are an example of innovative ways CMC can provide training alternatives to our classroom-based programs," said April-Dawn Blackwell, CMC Vice President, Public Programs. "For more than 45 years, Canadian Management Centre’s mission has been to advance the development of management and leadership practices in a changing world. Over the years we have been providing various options for electronic and virtual learning and we see this expansion as a natural progression. We will continue to offer over 120 different courses in locations across Canada as well as the option to attend virtually. Canadian customers are looking for a variety of solutions to address their individual and organizational learning needs," Blackwell said.
The learning is delivered with easy-to-use technology and enhances the live, online learning experience. CMC will provide high-quality headsets, individualized support to prepare in advance and real-time communication with the instructor and other attendees. Other interactive features include polling, chat capability, and online whiteboards that allow participants to get feedback, ask questions, post comments, and see immediately what the instructor is demonstrating as well as get responses to their questions. The overall experience is interactive and focused on the learning experience.
