Dallas TX (PRWEB) March 12, 2014

As part of a nationwide initiative to offer new and rewarding career opportunities to the men and women who so bravely serve this country, Prudential Texas Properties is pleased to announce a program that will ease the transition of military personnel from service to a career in the real estate industry.

Known as the Real Heroes Program, it is intended for former and active duty members and their spouses, and can pay up to $2,500 toward the cost of obtaining a real estate license. This allowance can cover insurance, exams, classes and membership fees for eligible real estate associations.

Prudential Texas Properties joins PenFed Realty in their participation in the Real Heroes Program, continuing a trend of supporting those who make up our armed forces. PenFed Foundation has also supported former service members through the Dream Makers Grant, which provides financial assistance toward the down payment for a new home purchase.

"As a veteran myself, I know that other veterans are hard-working, highly disciplined individuals that have the skills necessary to excel in our business,” said Rick Wylie, managing broker of Prudential Texas Properties. “We are very excited about our Real Heroes Program and the opportunity it provides here in the Dallas Ft Worth Area for veterans and their spouses.”

The North Texas real estate market has grown by leaps and bounds over the past year, and the need for qualified, talented real estate professionals is reaching new heights. Altos Research, a California-based analytics company, reported that as of February 28, Dallas was still very much in a seller’s market and with the busy spring buying season just around the corner, there is expected to be plenty of activity.

“Sellers are privy to the benefits associated with using a real estate professional throughout the home selling process,” said DD Flynn, VP of Marketing at Prudential Texas Properties. “We’re thrilled to welcome members of the Real Heroes Program to our team as we continue to take part in this exciting time for North Texas real estate.”
