St. Petersburg's Women's Fitness Boot Camp will start on July 1st 2008 This isn't your father's boot camp, but just like the real thing, you can expect to arrive early. Camp starts at 7:00 AM as well as 9:00AM! The one-hour per day camp runs for four weeks and women can choose the intensive five days a week Monday-Friday program or a three-day per week program. The camp is operated by Elliott Hulse, a certified personal trainer and sports performance specialist. Elliott is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, the same certification held by our nation's university and collegiate strength coaches.
Elliott says, "Women will choose our boot camp because they want a jump start and fast results." Many people have a hard time getting started on a program or have become bored with conventional exercise programs. The St. Petersburg Women's Boot Camp offers that jump start to your fitness plan in an intense, supportive, fun environment. Even as a certified personal trainer, ex-college football player, and amateur Strong Man Champion, Elliott feels that finding a consistent time to work out can be tough. Boot camp is just the right ticket for him, and he found the improvements in strength and endurance, as well as better relaxation throughout the day, were important factors for him in helping to cope with a busy life and growing a personal training business.
Like a "real" boot camp, The St. Petersburg Women's Fitness Boot Camp instills a discipline that will carry over into other areas of life. Elliott adds, "This is so much better because we are positive coaches - not drill sergeants. There is no yelling or negative motivation, whatsoever, and the consistency that is developed over the 4 weeks makes an amazing difference in your fitness level." The camp includes a variety of exercises: speed and agility, weight training, obstacle courses, flexibility training, and more. Elliott grins, "We will also bring exercises and other activities that St. Petersburg has never seen before. It is very unique." Elliott say other benefits are a 3-5% reduction in body fat, 5-8 pounds lost, 1-3 inch reduction in the waist' and a 100% increase in energy.
The camp is geared to offer the benefits of having a personal trainer in an environment of camaraderie with others who share similar goals. Each woman will work at her own level and all levels of fitness are welcome. The first camp starts on Tuesday, July 1st and there is a 2-week free trial period, but it ends soon!.
