GPS Source announced today the release of a new L1/L2 Active Antenna. Designed and manufactured by GPS Source, it is robust, lightweight, suitable for harsh environments and long-term high-precision applications.

The new active antenna offers excellent LNA gain of 33dB at a low DC current draw and noise figure, minimum 3dBiC element gain and multiple connector options. It has exceptional beam-width as well as significant filtering for excellent rejection of out of band interference. With the antenna’s small and lightweight feature, it makes perfect sense for various applications (commercial and military). Designed to operate in the most extreme and demanding applications, it enables maximum satellite reception with excellent lightning protection.

Also available in a passive model, both antennas are currently in production and will be available for sale in August, 2010.
