Denver, CO (PRWEB) October 20, 2010
Grow Room Communications, America’s first and only business development and public relations firm exclusively focused on the medical marijuana industry, has launched in Denver, Colorado.
Committed to revolutionizing this $10-14 billion industry, Grow Room Communications is taking the lead in enhancing the professionalism of business operations and providing effective marketing strategies to the nation’s most reputable medical marijuana businesses.
“We are very selective in who we work with,” said Elizabeth Robinson, president, CEO, and founder of Grow Room Communications. “Our clients’ ability to serve their patients effectively is directly related to the public’s appreciation for marijuana’s proven medicinal benefits and shows that the industry takes seriously its role in the provision of healthcare.”
Buried underneath the misrepresentations surrounding the character of MMJ patients and misunderstandings about marijuana’s health benefits, the Denver medical marijuana community has embraced the unprecedented services offered by Grow Room Communications.
“I have had the privilege of working with the Grow Room Communications team for the past year, and the positive impact they have achieved for Greenway University is more than could even be measured,” said Gus Escamilla, CEO and founder of Greenway University, a Colorado state licensed and regulated medical marijuana vocational school. “The success of the medical marijuana industry hinges on correcting public perception and strengthening the businesses that operate with legitimacy and integrity, and that is exactly what their incredible team is doing.”
Grow Room Communications had its soft launch at The Plant Medicine Expo & Healthcare Provider Conference on September 25th & 26th at the Sheraton Downtown Denver.
Far from the current standard for medical marijuana conferences, the Expo brought together physicians, industry thought leaders and B2B organizations focused on the continued advancement of the medical marijuana industry.
The highlight of the event was the lively debate moderated by Law & Order SUV’s Richard Belzer between Stan Garnett, District Attorney for Colorado’s 20th Judicial District, Tom Gallagher, Councilmember-At-Large and Charlie Brown, Denver City Councilman. They addressed crucial issues including medical marijuana in the workplace, state vs. federal control, and a host of policy issues.
Colorado, through the passing of Senate Bill 109, House Bill 1284 and Amendment 20, is one of the fourteen states with laws that legalized medical use of marijuana, despite the fact that marijuana is still illegal under federal law. Under the Obama Administration, Attorney General Eric Holder has asked agents to place investigations of medical marijuana use as one of the lowest priorities for the DEA. This has significantly added to the rapid growth of the medical marijuana industry in Colorado.
“My attitude is if the science and the doctors suggest that the best palliative care and the way to relieve pain and suffering is medical marijuana, then that’s something I’m open to,” President Obama said in November 2007 at a campaign stop in Audubon, Iowa. “There’s no difference between that and morphine when it comes to just giving people relief from pain.”
