Richard E. Last has joined the board of Commercial Connect LLC, based in Louisville, KY., the company seeking delegation of .shop from ICANN. Last is also a current board member of the National Retail Federation Foundation and Chairman Emeritus of Shop.org, the world’s leading membership community for digital retail. He is a lecturer and directs the Digital Retail Bachelor’s Degree Program of the University of North Texas, part of the College of Merchandising, Hospitality, and Tourism. He formerly served as manager of new business development for JCPenney Catalog, and launched jcp.com’s website in 1994, which later became the first US online retail site to generate over $1 billion in annual sales. He also held the roles of president of JCP Ecommerce L.P. and was a former director of digital ventures for J.C. Penney Co. Inc.
