Clifton, NJ (PRWEB) August 31, 2011
Joseph Federico, Vice President of NJ Micro Electronic Testing, is proud to announce the expansion of its laboratory testing services to include tensile testing for a spectrum of materials before the product is used in industry. This testing will provide vital data on elongation, yield point, modulus and tensile strength.
“Our objective is to provide our world recognized testing program and full service technical support to accommodate these various tensile and elongation tests for non woven as well as woven material, papers, and laminates in accordance with current ASTM and PSTC standards.” said Joseph Federico Vice President of NJ Micro Electronic Testing located in Clifton, NJ.
Tensile testing, also known as tension testing, is a fundamental materials science test in which a sample is subjected to uniaxial tension until failure. These test results are often used for quality control, to select a material for use in an application and to predict how a material will react under various types of forces. Properties measured via a tensile test are ultimate tensile strength, maximum elongation and reduction in area.
