The Paternity Lab Center is offering a new service assisting children and families with death benefits. At one time when the father of a child died without signing the birth certificate it meant that that child would not be able to claim death benefits or enjoy any other insurance benefits that the child had a legal right to. The birth certificate is one of the legal documents tying a child to the father.
The paternity lab center a national leader in the DNA testing sector offers a new service which helps mothers and children of deceased fathers to get the full benefits that the child legally deserves. “There are some challenges” says Kip Charles. “Depending on the amount of time the father has been deceased, the state that the child lives in, and the relationship that the child’s mother has with the deceased family all play a role in how easy or hard it is to prove paternity.”
Paternity testing for death benefits usually involves a blood card and getting access to that blood card is one of the ways the lab establishes chain of custody. In order for it to be a legal DNA test there must be documented proof tying the sample to the alleged father. The lab uses the blood sample to extract DNA and uses that DNA to compare it to the Child's DNA.
“The process takes no more than 48 hours once all the samples are in” says Tashunda H. For more information about how this works go to http://www.paternitylabcenter.com
