The Garmin Forerunner 610 was one of the best selling running and cycling GPS watches for 2012 according to the Heart Rate Watch Company, but it lacked something - color.
"Enter the Garmin Forerunner 610 multicolor watch that adds the flair to broaden the watches appeal", says Rusty Squire, President of the Heart Rate Watch Company. He adds, "I've tested this watch for the better part of a full year and I love it, especially the touch screen navigation".
Forerunner 610 in the multicolor variation is now available for advanced ordering and will be shipped in late October. "This watch was already one of the smallest and most fully featured GPS watches on the market so the new color scheme should be a real hit, especially with women", says Squire.
This new Garmin 610 model does not include a chest strap, it comes with charging clip and USB stick but you will need to acquire a Garmin chest strap if you do not already have one. You can also use optional cadence sensors for running and cycling to acquire additional data.
"The Garmin 610 is one of the few GPS watch units on the market today, besides the Garmin 210, that is actually small enough to fit women decently, therefore the new color scheme makes a lot of sense and should broaden the products appeal", according to Squire.
"Garmin seems to be moving away from what I call its Henry Ford period - any color you want as long as its black", says Squire.
