(PRWEB) October 11, 2012
Last week 5-hour ENERGY® announced that it is joining the battle against breast cancer. From October 11, 2012, through December 31, 2012 five cents per bottle of each sale of new Pink Lemonade 5-hour ENERGY® will be donated to the Avon Foundation for Women Breast Cancer Crusade. 5-hour ENERGY® has already committed to a minimum donation of $75,000. But since demand of the new flavor is expected to exceed forecasts, the 5-hour ENERGY® team is confident that the donation will increase considerably.
Along with support through Pink Lemonade sales, 5-hour ENERGY® would like to celebrate survivors and honor those who we’ve lost to breast cancer. The 5-hour ENERGY® team invites survivors, friends, and family members, touched by breast cancer to tell us ‘Why Do You Want to Walk?’. The selected entrant and a guest will be given the opportunity to take part in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Washington DC May 4-5, 2013. Participants are invited to share their stories on 5-hour ENERGY®’s various Social Media channels. Please see the ‘Why Do You Want To Walk?’ Sweepstakes Entry Form for further details.
The sweepstakes begins October 11, 2012 and concludes on December 31, 2012. At the conclusion of the sweepstakes, one winner will be chosen to receive the following:
5-hour ENERGY® is furthering its breast cancer awareness efforts with two additional upcoming promotions. The “Pin For The Cure” contest will launch soon and ask users to pin images, while creating their own “Pin For The Cure” boards to share and spread breast cancer awareness. The #15 5-hour ENERGY® Toyota driven Clint Bowyer in NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series will sport a bright pink and black paint scheme for all four races in October. When the pink car is on the track, the 5-hour ENERGY® team will be sponsoring additional giveaways and contests, so stay tuned for further details.

About the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade
The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade, which commemorates its 20th anniversary in 2012 has donated more than $740 million for research and advancing access to care, regardless of a person’s ability to pay. The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade awards funding to beneficiaries ranging from leading cancer centers to community-based grassroots breast health programs to support breast cancer research and access to care. The Crusade has enabled more than 17 million women globally to receive free mammograms and breast cancer screenings, educated more than 100 million women about breast cancer, and funded promising research into the causes of breast cancer and ways to prevent the disease. Avon raises funds for the Crusade through the sale of Avon “Pink Ribbon” products, and through events such as the U.S. Avon Walk for Breast Cancer series, which is the Avon Foundation’s largest fund-raising source.
