Cynthia Clay, author of Great Webinars: How to Create Interactive Learning that is Captivating, Informative and Fun, will appear in person on Friday, October 19, 2012 to present a workshop for the Los Angeles chapter of ASTD (American Society for Training and Development) on creating a robust, collaborative environment that delivers a compelling learning opportunity in the virtual classroom.
According to ASTD LA: "In this interactive one-day workshop, [attendees] will learn six engagement techniques that build collaborative learning, innovative uses of the chat and polling functions, and how to annotate slides to activate interest, and experience great virtual learning first hand."
Ms. Clay will model webinar delivery while participants are logged into a webinar in the same face-to-face classroom. Attendees are encouraged to bring a short segment of a course that they wish to repurpose for the virtual classroom based on the techniques presented.
Workshop objectives include sharing an understanding of the tools and techniques for creating an engaging virtual experience, so that participants will be able to deliver their own valuable, engaging virtual learning.
