Jennifer Marie Jones and four of her children were found on Wednesday, following 30 hours on the run. They were discovered safe and well in Wales, after Miss Jones failed to return them back to Spain after the summer holidays.
Miss Jones has been battling for custody since her divorce from the children’s father Tomas Palacin Cambra in 2008.
Bitter custody battles are not uncommon, and as marriages break apart, custody of children becomes a major issue. Many parents become embroiled in an ongoing custody battle and worry about their child’s welfare while in the care of an ex-spouse.
Private Investigators Brighton is often requested to carry out surveillance on ex-partners who have weekly or monthly visits with a child or children.
A spokesperson from Private Investigators Brighton said:
“We are often requested to carry out surveillance on custody visits to make sure children are being looked after properly. From time to time, we are also asked to find out where an ex-partner has taken the child or children as well. Parents understandably want to be sure that their children are safe and well in the care of an ex-partner.”
