Leading online Asian fashion retailer YesStyle sponsors YouTube artist Jason Chen's music video "Autotune" featuring noted video blogger Bubzbeauty. Released on September 7, 2012, "Autotune" marks YesStyle's first collaboration with Jason Chen. The English version of the music video debuted simultaneously on the YouTube channels of both YesStyle and Jason Chen, with a Chinese version also available on Chen's channel.
The "Autotune" music video serves as the first collaboration between YesStyle and Jason Chen. Known for promoting Asian and Asian American artists, YesStyle previously sponsored performances of K-pop groups such as the Wonder Girls and SMTown Live 2010 World Tour in Los Angeles, as well as several tours by YouTube singers and musicians David Choi and Clara C. Through these partnerships, YesStyle demonstrates its support of both established and emerging Asian talents around the world.
The English version of "Autotune" has received nearly 1.2 million views on YouTube, with Jason Chen enjoying more than 550,000 subscribers. After posting his first video in 2008 and graduating from UCLA in 2010, the Taiwanese-American artist decided to pursue a career in music and has recently begun performing live shows. While he writes original material, he is best known for his covers, most popular among them "Boyfriend" (Justin Bieber), "Payphone" (Maroon 5 and Wiz Khalifa) and "We Are Young" (fun. featuring Janelle Monae). Bubzbeauty, his co-star in "Autotune," is a Northern Irish-Chinese make-up guru who gained a substantial following through her YouTube channel starting in 2007. She maintains three (3) YouTube channels with more than 1.5 million subscribers. YesStyle previously collaborated with Bubzbeauty as a sponsor of her beauty video tutorials.
Shot over three days throughout the San Gabriel Valley and Los Angeles, California, the music video features cameos from singer-songwriter Joseph Vincent, stand-up comedian David So and American Idol Season 6 Top 24 contestant Paul Kim as well as over 150 fans who participated in the flash mob dance scene.
Jason thanks YesStyle for the support, stating "It was amazing to work with YesStyle on the 'Autotune' music video! I hope everyone really enjoyed the music video and that everyone finds their Auto-Tune in life that can make them sound perfect as well!"
