The latest workforce housing and commercial development to take way in the Eagle Ford shale, Ventana Creek, announces that it will begin leasing the first phase of its 32 acre master-planned real estate development project beginning on November 1, 2012.
CS1 Development expects the entire Phase 1 undertaking to be fully completed by late December 2012 or early January 2013, with up to 45-60 workforce housing units delivered over the next few months as the owners complete this initial stage of development. During this time period, the Company will continue its leasing campaign, while also advertising and marketing the remaining phases of the project for leasing, land sales and pre-ordering housing units.
A Company Manager said in a recent press release, "We congratulate Carrizo Springs and the groups we have worked with on this important milestone in the Eagle Ford shale, and also to everyone here within our community at Ventana Creek. This project will open doors to better accommodate the workers, families and everyone else seeking a better housing solution in The Shale. This project also plays an important role in our efforts to bring better living conditions to South Texas in general."
A Ventana Creek spokesperson also also was quoted in another recent press release that "we have worked very hard with area governments, city and county staff, resource agencies, environmental organizations and certainly the local community to construct a more viable project overall for the Carrizo Springs housing community. Now that the doors are open, we will begin leasing the first week of November 2012 with continued development and more leasing to follow."
A local official responded to the company's article by saying, "We appreciate the lasting efforts Ventana Creek and their supporters have brought to the community, which will only serve to better Carrizo Springs all around."
This project once again highlights the developer's continued involvement throughout the Eagle Ford shale by providing more sustainable housing solutions, a better variety of residential options, and supporting retail and commercial uses in towns impacted by the widespread oil and gas activity occurring throughout South Texas. This project is being supported through a 50/50 joint venture between one of the Williams-Meridian Companies and Varco Real Estate Holdings, LLC.
