[The Gluten Free Society is announcing a DNA testing product that can be performed in the comfort of one’s own home. The Gluten Sensitivity Genetic Test Kit, which is a DNA test, is being sold on the Society’s website for $385.00. The Society accepts PayPal and all major credit cards. The test is drawn off of a cheek swab. No needles or blood draws are required.
The Gluten Free Society’s Genetic Test Kit is easy to use and non-abrasive. The results are emailed promptly with either a positive or negative answer. Family discounts are available on two or more test kits. In addition, if a person does have a positive result there is a supportive video that explains what the result means and how to proceed.
“ Many people go untested because of financial, insurance or time concerns. However, testing is important! I recommend testing followed by in-depth research,” says Dr. Peter Osborne of the Gluten Free Society. “I started the Society to ensure transparent research and [ testing resources are available to the public.”
The Gluten Free Society suggests any person who is directly related to someone already diagnosed with gluten intolerance or celiac disease should get tested. “Anyone with an auto-immune disease, such as Multiple Sclerosis, should consider this testing. There are a lot of diseases that are linked to gluten sensitivity. I’ve listed them on our website for those interested in learning more,” continued Dr. Osborne.
