The Fanatical Change Foundation received a $15,000 grant from The UPS Foundation, the charitable arm of UPS. In addition to last year’s grant of $25,000, the donation from The UPS Foundation will go towards administrative costs associated with providing emergency assistance to Houston families who are victims of violent crimes and tragic accidents.

Founded in 2008, the Fanatical Change Foundation was created to restore the intimacy in charitable giving by identifying recent victims of life-altering tragedies and allowing the power behind their individual, unique stories of suffering to inspire current and potential donors to be the change they wish to see in the world. To date, the Fanatical Change Foundation, with the financial support of organizations such as the UPS Foundation and Zeus Mortgage, have raised nearly $400,000 and immediately given 100% of the proceeds to Houston families.

“We were so grateful to receive the initial grant from The UPS Foundation, receiving this second donation was truly so inspiring for us all,” stated Steven Kaufman, president, the Fanatical Change Foundation and Zeus Mortgage. “Often times donors aren’t aware of the impact their donations make, and our goal of providing emergency assistance to families in need is only further strengthened by the continued support of The UPS Foundation.”

Established in 1951 and based in Atlanta, Ga., The UPS Foundation identifies specific areas where its backing clearly impacts social issues. In support of this strategic approach, The UPS Foundation has identified the following focus areas for giving: nonprofit effectiveness, encouraging diversity, community safety and environmental sustainability.

“The UPS Foundation is committed to funding impactful programs that make a meaningful difference in our communities – so we are proud to support the Fanatical Change Foundation’s efforts to restore the intimacy in charitable giving,” said Ken Sternad, president, The UPS Foundation.

In 2011, The UPS Foundation distributed more than $45.3 million worldwide through grants that benefit organizations or programs, such as the Fanatical Change Foundation, and provide support for building stronger communities.
