Wins its First OMMA Award for Web Site Excellence

With an unprecedented number of votes, captured the OMMA Member’s Choice Award for Web Site Excellence thanks to the passionate support of members of one of America's largest and most vibrant healthy living communities.

SparkPeople today thanked its members and MediaPost editors for their recognition of, which won the OMMA Member’s Choice Award for Web Site Excellence this week.

MediaPost holds the OMMA Awards (Online Media, Marketing and Advertising) to “celebrate the year’s most innovative and brilliant online advertising creative, campaigns and Web sites.”

After SparkPeople was nominated by MediaPost editors as a category finalist within the Web Site Excellence discipline, SparkPeople received the most votes from users of any of the 69 sites nominated as Web Site Excellence finalists to capture the Member’s Choice Award.

SparkPeople received an “unprecedented” number of votes for an OMMA Members’ Choice Award, according to the event’s organizers.

Called “The online program that works” by Good Housekeeping, is one of America’s largest and most vibrant healthy living sites. Its unique blend of nutrition, fitness and motivation tools, content and community has helped millions of people improve their overall health, manage health conditions and reach their goals.
