“Changing Places” provides a down-to-earth guide to help entrepreneurs lay the groundwork for a successful succession and transition plan.

Laguna Niguel, CA (PRWEB) October 06, 2012

“Working in our consulting practice we found that many clients were thinking about exiting the business, but had no plans for making a successful transition from ‘the person who runs the business’ to ‘retired or semi-retired former business owner,’” write authors Dave Franzetta and Moss Jackson. “We prepared guides that we used when working with clients, but discovered that there was very little published material to help owners of small businesses work out a plan for leadership continuity and personal transition.” With this in mind, Franzetta and Jackson set out to pen their new nonfiction guide, “Changing Places: Making a Success of Succession Planning for Entrepreneurs and Family Business Owners” (published by AuthorHouse).

“Changing Places” provides a down-to-earth guide to help entrepreneurs lay the groundwork for a successful succession and transition plan. Since every company has its own idiosyncrasies, “Changing Places” helps business owners figure out how to think about succession and transition planning in ways that fit their own specific situation, using rich narrative examples from the authors’ practice to bring to life both the potential problems faced by business owners and the practical solutions they have adopted.

Perhaps most importantly, each chapter concludes with a series of thought-provoking questions to guide the development of succession and transition plans that fit the owner’s specific needs.
