Dr. Daniel Del Vecchio is a board certified plastic surgeon in Boston, Massachusetts with a private cosmetic surgery practice on Newbury St. in the heart of Boston's Back Bay. His practice, Back Bay Plastic Surgery, is a boutique cosmetic surgery concept focusing on breast augmentation, body contouring, and rhinoplasty surgery.
Dr. Del Vecchio will be in Canada speaking about clinical fat grafting. He will be moderating a clinical fat grafting session, and he will also be presenting “Changes in Tissue Perfusion During Application of External Volume Expansion (EVE) Systems for Fat Graft Site Preparation”, and “Clinical Applications of Fat and Fat-Derived Cells: A global Perspective”.
With book chapters, international and national exposure, Dr. Del Vecchio holds one of the largest experiences in the world in the field of large volume fat grafting to the breast and buttock. Not only is Dr. Del Vecchio a Key Note speaker at many Plastic Surgery Events around the globe, but he also performs live surgery in front of his audiences. The technique of fat grafting to the breast is a relatively new procedure, one that yields natural, long term results of breast augmentation and buttock augmentation through a very minimally-invasive route. It is a very appealing procedure to patients who wish to have a significant increase in breast or buttock size, without the use of an artificial implant.
Featured in last month’s Plastic Surgery News is an article written by Dr. Del Vecchio titled “Not All Fat Grafting is the same”—Different Techniques for Different Uses”, depicting the variety of applications using fat. Dr. Del Vecchio has established himself as one of Boston’s leading cosmetic plastic surgeons. With his extensive work before building his own practice, he has put in the time and effort to learn what makes a great surgeon. Dr. Del Vecchio has also been involved in the training of surgical residents at Tufts New England Medical Center, where he was an Assistant Professor of Surgery, and at Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital where he is currently a member of the consulting staff in the Division of Plastic Surgery.
