Perth Amboy, NJ (PRWEB) October 05, 2012
“Frank Salado has always been a friend to Labor, and as a former union member of UFCW Locals 342 in New York and Local 464 in New Jersey, personally understands what we stand for…collective bargaining, rights and protection of our workers and maintaining the highest service standards,” said Charles Hall, UFCW Local 18 President.
“Throughout his career and civic service, Frank has always prioritized the people’s needs, and we know that he has the experience and the plan to bring jobs back to Perth Amboy, make its neighborhoods safer and help improve its school system. That is why today, we support him as he campaigns to be the next Mayor of the City of Perth Amboy, and enthusiastically endorse him in the upcoming mayoral elections.”
Mr. Salado expressed his gratitude to the over 5,000 members of the labor organization.
“I am humbled to receive the support of my friends at RWDSU, Local 18 and for the confidence they have placed in me,” said Salado. “As a past union member I am in complete solidarity with American workers and the importance of bringing jobs back to our cities, and ensuring that everyone has a shot at a decent job and a better quality of life. That’s the vision I have for Perth Amboy and one I will fight for.
"I look forward to working with the RWDSU, Local 18, and the rest of the Labor community, to make Perth Amboy great again once I become mayor.”
