The discussion about players leaving their respective sports broke and bankrupt within 2 years after being paid multi-million dollar salaries has been the a recent topic but has affected players and their families for decades. Shoreline Financial Services has announced that it is creating a niche in the professional athlete market place by providing asset protection to players who seek advice on retirement and long term investments. Shoreline represents over 100 million in assets, but is looking for players early in their career or collegiate life so they can make decisions that will protect them long term.

Recently Shoreline Financial Services Executives have met with Toby Wright over the issue and working to develop a program that can give the player an off the field plan. Toby himself was a player who lost $2.3 million dollars (cash) to an investment advisory group during his years as a professional athlete. Toby was fortunate and was able to regain his footing. He never filed bankruptcy but had to tighten the belt. Smart decisions and solid advice helped him through the turbulent financial time. Now Toby and other players have joined in a cooperative effort to reach out to young players, educated them on choices that can be made to increase their ability to retain their wealth and maintain control of their assets.

"I sat down with Shoreline Financial because they have a reputation for being one of the best firms for asset protection business in region. They operate in several states (AZ, CA, IL, IN, MN, NV, OR, WA, WI) and provide Auto, Home, Business, Health and Umbrellas, which can be beneficial to the professional athlete clients in the Players Authority Network," says Toby Wright. Toby is meeting with a host of vendors and organizations from mentorship, charities to boutiques that can be verified through peer recommendations. Toby recently agreed on terms with church leaders regarding a mentorship program, Capri Jewelers a regional diamond retail broker and several other non-profit organizations.
