Michigan Based Best Drug Rehabilitation (BDR) Helps NYC Fashion Week Attendees De-Stress and Detoxify

Per Wickstrom and his Best Drug Rehabilitation (BDR) team made a lasting impression at last month’s NYC Fashion week when, together with partners and co-sponsors, they raised awareness of the inherent stress in the high fashion world, and shared expert advice on how to relax, re-balance and detoxify via holistic, non-pharmaceutical alternatives.

Attendees of last month’s NYC Fashion Week expected to be dazzled, impressed, and wowed by chic and stylish concepts -- and they certainly weren’t disappointed. But what they didn’t expect, and yet will likely never forget, was learning from Per Wickstrom, co-founder of Michigan-based Best Drug Rehabilitation (BDR), how to wisely handle the severe stress inherent in the high fashion world.

Together with partners Charlotte Ronson, Cygalle Healing Spa, Organic Avenue Organic Juicing, and Jivamukti Yoga, Per Wickstrom and his Best Drug Rehabilitation team brought something refreshingly new to NYC Fashion Week that was so well received, that is may become a permanent feature in future events.

“We shared holistic approaches to stress relief that we use in our center, which are based on taking vitamins and minerals instead of prescription drugs, which can be addictive and lead to adverse health consequences in other areas,” commented Per Wickstrom who, together with wife Svetlana, lead one of the nation’s most well-respected rehabilitation and treatment centers. “We truly wanted to make a difference and spread an important message to the fashion community, and what bigger or better a platform than NYC Fashion Week?”

In addition to spreading awareness and offering advice, Per Wickstrom and his Best Drug Rehabilitation team, along with their partners and co-sponsors, offered spa treatments, toxicity tests, yoga and organic juices. Best Drug Rehabilitation was also the host sponsor of the Charlotte Ronson S/S 2013 collection show and after party.

When asked by some cynics if he was on a recruiting mission, Per Wickstrom’s response was clear, confident and compassionate. “Are fashion people more prone to drug addiction, and am I looking to find addicts and recruit them? Farthest thing from it! The fashion industry is a very high stress environment, and our goal was to offer attendees an alternative holistic methodology to help them get rid of some of their toxins, and lead more balanced, stress-free lives. And if we reached just one person, and kept her or him from going down the road of addiction – and that means never becoming a client in my center or any other -- then we have absolutely succeeded.”
