As expected social media features prominently in the survey. While Facebook and Twitter retain their popularity with companies it is LinkedIn that is most widely used with 83% of companies making use of the platform. Another social media site that has come to prominence is Pinterest and it is now ranked among the top 50 web properties in 2012.
