Dallas (PRWEB) November 02, 2012
Interstate Batteries is announcing a partnership with SkillsUSA, a national organization of career and technical education students, teachers and business partners, to provide an official fundraising program.
“We are pleased to be able to partner with SkillsUSA in this venture,” said Leslie Lawrence, Interstate Batteries Fundraising Director. “These are amazing students with bright futures, and we wanted to be part of their road to success.”
The average household uses about 21 different battery-operated devices. Participating SkillsUSA student chapters will be selling a wide variety of Interstate Batteries products for every home use, from AAA, AA, C, D and 9V batteries to flashlights and organizers with testers. For each Interstate Batteries product a SkillsUSA student sells, 50% of the sale goes back to the SkillsUSA chapter.
“SkillsUSA is excited about our partnership with Interstate Batteries,” said Tim Lawrence, SkillsUSA Executive Director. “Our mission of empowering students to become world class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens will be enhanced and energized by the support Interstate is providing to our national, state and local programs. This support will provide the opportunity for SkillsUSA students across the nation to raise funds to support their leadership training and development. As a result, our students will be better equipped to make a positive impact on their schools and communities and better prepared for employment. We look forward to our work with Interstate as we continue to develop students with the skills America needs.”
