After publishing short stories directly to Amazon every week this year, Lexi Maxxwell has finally gathered her reader favorites and assembled them into one massive, critically acclaimed bundle, pleasing the brains, bodies, and wallets of her biggest fans.
Lexi Maxxwell is the unapologetic author of bold, brazen, sexy, smut, that not only pleases thousands of readers too shy to tell the world how much they love Lexi, but Ms.Maxxwell also has over 300 five-star reviews, which is virtually unheard of for an independently published author.
Maxxwell, who uses a pen name said, "It kills me that I can't tell the world what I'm doing, but unfortunately, everyone from family to friends to my co-workers would look at me differently. And right now, I simply can't afford that, so I have to use a pen name. To see so many five-star reviews is one of the most validating things in the world to me."
With a 4.9 average across all her titles, Maxxwell must be doing something right. Aiming for more readers, and figuring it would be easier to fall in love "in bulk," as she says, Maxxwell gathered 50 of her stories and put them together in a single volume for just $9.99, or .20 a story.
With a sly wink to the success of EL James 50 Shades of Grey, Maxxwell titled the collection, "50 Shades of Lexi Maxxwell." It was an instant critical hit, and currently has over 50 five-star reviews and is ranked #14 on the most well-reviewed erotica titles on all of Amazon.
Maxxwell has since followed with a second collection, "42 Filthy *** Stories." Only recently released, it already has 14 reviews, with nothing but five-stars, which Maxxwell is especially proud of since she has no other way to market.
"It's really hard to get reviews," she said. "Especially with a pen name. To see such a positive reception to my smut bundles only makes me want to write more!"
The always enthusiastic Lexi is hard at work on another bundle, her first full length novel, due November 30, a brand new serialized fiction story due in the new year, as well as a second season to XXX Files, published earlier this spring.
"I'm living the dream," she said. "I have readers who love my work and that means everything to me. Now all I need is more of them, so I can become Lexi full time."
Lexi Maxxwell plans to become her alter ego full time by early 2013.
