Anderson, SC (PRWEB) November 13, 2012
Every Halloween, dental offices across America promote good dental care by offering to buy extra Halloween candy from children. Anderson Pediatric Dentistry participated this year, offering a price of one dollar per pound. During the four-day collection the practice managed to collect 37 pounds of candy which will be split between United States servicemen abroad and the Shriners Hospital in Greenville, SC.
According to Anderson Pediatric Dentistry's Dr. Kathleen Monn, all of the candy at risk of melting will be sent to the Shriners hospital to put smiles on the faces of children there. The remainder will be sent to our troops overseas as a small token of appreciation for the hard work they do. Dr. Monn is thrilled at the level of participation for this year's collection event and her small patients were excited to receive payment.
Anderson Pediatric Dentistry specializes in providing quality dental care to children, infants and adolescents. Dr. Monn added two years of specialty training to her traditional four-year dental program in order to be well-equipped to deal with the special needs of kids. She has learned different approaches to dealing with children that are effective in educating them, guiding them in their dental growth, and avoiding problems before they happen.
Dr. Monn reminds patients in the Anderson area that prolonged good dental health in adulthood begins with good dental practices as a child. She hopes her pediatric practice succeeds in establishing a healthy mindset among her young patients; a mindset that will carry through into their adult years.
