Work4 Labs, the world leader in Facebook recruitment technology, today announced its participation as a founding Developer Partner of the Social Jobs Partnership’s groundbreaking Facebook application. In coordination with Facebook, this new Social Jobs Application will aggregate job postings hosted on the world’s largest social network, giving users free access to more than 1.7 million jobs in a single tool and instantly creating one of the world’s largest job boards.
The Social Jobs Partnership is a collaboration between the U.S. Department of Labor, the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), DirectEmployers Association (DE), the National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) and Facebook. The new free app combines the more than 1.7 million positions that are currently listed on Facebook by a select group of developer partners and makes it easy for job applicants to search for careers by location, industry, and type of work.
Work4 Labs was selected as a Developer Partner for this important initiative based on the strength of its Facebook recruiting solution, which currently serves more than 17,000 businesses of all types, including one out of every five of the Fortune 500 companies that recruit on Facebook. More than 2.2 million blue and white-collar jobs have been posted to Facebook through Work4 Labs since its inception just 18 months ago.
Work4 Labs assists both businesses and consumers by enabling a superior social recruitment experience for jobs at every level, from hourly workers to mid-level executives. Through Work4 Labs, recruiters of all sizes easily create branded enterprise-grade corporate career sites on Facebook, driving traffic, job applications and employee referrals from the network's 1 billion users. Work4 Labs’ technology also allows companies to generate employee referrals and use Facebook’s powerful advertising platform to target both active and passive job seekers that meet each company’s specific criteria, creating the best possible hiring pool of qualified workers.
“Today’s launch of the Social Jobs Application highlights what we’ve known all along—that both recruiters and job seekers benefit when jobs are posted where candidates spend their time, and research overwhelmingly tells us that this is on Facebook,” said Stéphane Le Viet, CEO of Work4 Labs. “Undoubtedly, there will be an acceleration of the shift to social media as the primary channel to find a job with the extraordinary push of this consortium. We are fully committed to making the Social Jobs Application on Facebook the best possible resource for connecting candidates and companies.”
"The launch of the Social Jobs Partnership's job app on Facebook is a pivotal moment for the online recruiting industry,” said Bill Warren, Executive Director, DirectEmployers Association. “The new app positions the over one million National Labor Exchange employment opportunities onto Facebook, a platform that is widely used by individuals globally, in order to gainfully make the transition to a new socially enabled recruiting model."
