Hanley Wood Marketing Wins Two Pearl Awards

Hanley Wood Marketing was honored with two Pearl Awards for its work for The Sherwin-Williams Company: a Gold for Best Integrated Print and Web program for the Sherwin-Williams® STIR® program, and a Silver for Best Design, Special Issue for the STIR annual print magazine.

Hanley Wood Marketing was honored with two Pearl Awards for its work for The Sherwin-Williams Company during a ceremony held at The Liberty Theater in New York City on Nov. 6, 2012.

Given annually by the Custom Content Council, a New York–based media group, the Pearl Awards celebrate the best in custom media strategy, design and editorial. This year’s competition received 628 entries representing projects created for brands such as Disney, Ford, Four Seasons, Whole Foods Market and Lexus.

Hanley Wood Marketing took home a Gold for Best Integrated Print and Web program for its work on the Sherwin-Williams® STIR® program, created to help Sherwin-Williams better serve its key interior designer and architect audience. STIR includes a print annual magazine focused on design, a content-rich website (swstir.com) and a monthly e-newsletter.

This is the fourth time Hanley Wood Marketing has won Gold in this category — and the seventh consecutive year Hanley Wood Marketing has won at least one Pearl Award for its work with Sherwin-Williams.

Hanley Wood Marketing also won a Silver for Best Design, Special Issue, for the STIR annual print magazine.

All submissions faced a great deal of competition this year, both foreign and domestic. There were a record number of international entries, many of whom were first-time winners.

The awards were presented by Cyndi Stivers of the Columbia Journalism Review and Raphael Miranda, a New York meteorologist. More than 30 judges assembled in New York, Washington D.C. and San Francisco to judge all 628 entries.
