Dialtel is planning on increasing its capacity going into 2013. This expansion comes on the heels of a strong Q3 and Q4 in 2012.
Dialtel feels the increased growth was due to the awareness created for its Voice Blast Services. Dialtel CEO Erik Scanlan said in a statement, “We have been attacking low cost forms of advertising in order to keep our rates from increasing. This effort certainly required some patience but there is no doubt that it is paying off now. We now plan to add more servers to our network to handle the increased volume that we are anticipating.”
The challenges with network augmentation and growth are very real with Voice Blasting. It is not as simple as just adding servers. There are increased costs with routing, space, power, and design that have to be taken into account before investing money into switches, routers, and servers.
Luckily, Dialtel has a strong team behind the scenes to handle proper network design and augmentation. Earlier this year, the Chief Technical Officer implemented a distributed database model using replication so that the database load could be distributed throughout many servers to create proper load balancing for future growth.
This was just one step that opened the doors to Least Cost Routing and Sip Trunking Services which Dialtel plans to offer by 2014. It takes many long days and nights for a smaller organization to achieve these kinds of results. Dialtel is very proud to be in its 9th year considering the economy has been so bad throughout their existence.
Dialtel CEO Erik Scanlan had one more comment that he had to mention, he said “If I was born 10 years earlier and followed the same path that I did in the last 9 years… I would be a millionaire.” He was referring to the 90’s long distance boom which made many telecom guru’s wealthy.
