PolicyPak, a leading producer of software that delivers, enforces and remediates application settings, now helps IT Admins lock down and control settings on applications that run through Novell's ZENworks App Virtualization software.
With the integration, IT Admins can create use PolicyPak to create directives which dynamically lock down ZENWorks Application Virtualization application settings and stop employees from changing what's put in place
Those PolicyPak directives can be delievered using Group Policy, SCCM, ZENWorks Configuration management or other management tools.
“Let's face it: employees are more sophisticated and technically-savvy than ever before, and they love to change the settings on applications, both virtual and otherwise,” says Jeremy Moskowitz, founder of PolicyPak and Microsoft Group Policy MVP. “By utilizing PolicyPak Professional and Design Studio to the mix, IT Admins using ZENworks get solid online and offline control of settings on dozens of frequently-used applications like Firefox, Flash and Java, as well as homegrown and lesser-known applications.”
The Novell ZENworks integration was designed to make application administration easier and much more flexible for IT pros who like to run applications virtually, but face unnecessary, cost-draining help desk calls when employees change settings, make data less secure, and take their companies out of compliance.
PolicyPak has an ever-growing list of integrations for both virtual and non-virtual application management tools, as well as dozens of pre-configured Paks serving a broad list of key applications used in corporate environments.
