Lynxspring, a leading manufacturer and distributor of building automation technology and device-to-enterprise integration solutions announces a revolutionary software enhancement to their JENEsys® product line called JENEsys® Harmony , the only embedded software tool that automates the integration of any discoverable BACnet® or LonWorks® building control device.
JENEsys Harmony is designed for contractors and building owners who want to reduce project labor costs associated with commissioning and engineering complex, multi-vendor, and legacy devices. JENEsys Harmony enhances the NiagaraAX® platform embedded in the JENEsys product line by automating the integration of all BACnet and LonWorks control devices into a JENE-PC series controller via templates that promote consistent, repeatable, and accurate results.
Field trials with contractors and building owners have shown that utilizing JENEsys Harmony during the engineering and commissioning phase of a project drastically increases productivity, reduces overall installation costs, simplifies the integration of 3rd party software solutions and frees up senior technicians to add value in other areas of a project. The "standards" contractors and building owners establish with JENEsys Harmony creates flexibility to add, upgrade, and manage new functionality to their existing building automation system. This also makes it easier for building owners to take advantage of the efficiencies delivered through JENEsys’ web-enabled building automation command and control technologies and utilize its energy analytics and exception reporting software applications.
“Harmony makes it far simpler and more intuitive for our junior field techs to commission a building automation system,” says Jeff Houpt, president and owner of Automation Integrated, LCC. “Building owners want to preserve their investments in existing building controls. In the past, this proposition was labor intensive and cost prohibitive. Now that we have JENEsys Harmony doing the work for us by utilizing our library of controller templates that consist of device point types, alarms, histories and graphics, we spend 50% less time on the job; we are minimizing costly and time consuming errors and we can transfer these savings to the building owner.”
In addition to the JENEsys Harmony templates, Lynxspring has created for their BACnet and LonWorks product lines, the ability for contractors and building owners to modify or add new device templates, regardless of manufacturer. Templates reduce costs and time by enforcing repeatable, consistent engineering practices. Harmony enables integrators to create and maintain device integration standards by providing a consistent database ensuring smooth information sharing from the NiagaraAX database to a 3rd party software solution.
“With JENEsys Harmony, you minimize errors caused by manual data entry,” says Bob Mealey, CBDO at Lynxspring. “For national accounts, accuracy and standardization across multiple buildings is essential to maintaining efficiency. Standards also make it easier and faster for technicians to deal with ongoing maintenance or adding new devices to the system. JENEsys® Harmony has been designed to improve our Partners’ bottom lines during and after installation.”
JENEsys Harmony is available for shipment beginning November 19, 2012
