On November 20, 2012, travel company Surf Path offered their own quick traveling tips following a Huffington Post Travel article offering seven tips to help passengers fly clear through airport security.

According to the Huffington Post Travel article, “For many travelers, facing the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is one of the most frustrating aspects of air travel.” The article states that efficient preparation and a smart approach can make your airport security experience a little less stressful. The article mentions that PreCheck, packing like a pro, staying untied, bagging your computer, scoping out security, and succumbing to the scan, are ways to help you speed through security.

According to the article checking out the PreCheck program can be very beneficial, as it allows participants to go through security without removing any clothing. The article states that packing correctly will cut down on time. Keeping toiletries in a zip lock bag, having papers and ID at the ready, and knowing the liquid limit will prevent unnecessary wait times. According to the article, “a shorter line does not always mean a faster line.” The article urges passengers to scope out security and see who is in front of them. Families with children or lots of bags could potentially take a longer time to clear security.

Travel Company Surf Patch knows how hard trying to fly clear of airport security hassles can be, and offered some tips of their own. World traveler Takara Licausi states, “Dressing in a way that makes it easier for you to take on and off shoes and other clothing needed to pass through security is one way to make your security experience less painful. I would also recommend trying to condense all important belongings you plan to take on the plane in one carry-on bag.”
