CNCNTRTE and Steve Aoki Teach Man's Best Friend to DJ

Los Angeles-based commercial production company produces dog-themed viral content for EDM icon Steve Aoki.

The LA commercial and music video production house CNCNTRTE has partnered with Steve Aoki once again, this time to create a superstar DJ out of Steve's beloved bulldog Coco for a new viral video. Debuting on Youtube, the video is entitled "Steve Aoki Trains the Secret Guest for His Birthday Show!".

The spot's Director, Dan Packer of CNCNTRTE, was ecstatic when he received the call informing him of the opportunity to helm another Steve Aoki viral video. "Working with Steve and the Dim Mak team is great. The 'Steve Aoki' brand allows for silly, playful content… which is our spaghetti & marinara," says Packer.

Maxwell Riesberg & Josh Shadid, the spot's Producers & owners of the production company CNCNTRTE, were excited for another reason. Maxwell says "These Aoki videos allow us to flex our nerd-muscle. We spend an unhealthy amount of time consuming & proliferating content online… making us experts on how to talk to & manipulate the internet. We're just like the hacker characters from The X-Files."

"I cannot believe that I just said that on the record… I hope nobody reads this," Riesberg adds.

"Dog videos, man." exclaims CNCNTRTE partner Josh Shadid. "We took an already adorable pup and made him into an icon. When the world gets wind of Coco the Dim Mak dog's DJ prowess… we're going to break the internet."

Creating this video wasn't all playful pasta jokes and 90's sci-fi references for the CNCNTRTE boys. "After shooting Steve & his dog on a greenscreen, we created all of the video's environments from scratch and Terry Gilliam'd the dog by hand", says CNCNTRTE partner Maxwell Riesberg in reference to the classic Monty Python animator.

"Working with Steve is like folding a burrito - there's so much good stuff trying to explode out of the crevices that it's hard to wrap up… but once it's all Packed up… it's food, man" was a statement that Dan Packer asked to close this press release with.
