Today, Todoist, created by Doist, expands into the mobile market, making available its first native mobile application for both iOS http://todoist.com/iphone and Android http://todoist.com/android platforms. The app, first in the company’s mobile repertoire, was created by a 10-person virtual team that’s never met face-to-face.
Todoist’s new app is arguably the most robust and versatile task-manager available seeing as it offers seamless synchronization across eight different platforms including iOS, Android, Outlook, Chrome and more. The app allows users to easily manage their email inbox thanks to Todoist’s deep integration with Outlook and Gmail which means never forgetting to follow-up on an email again. Other features include: saving webpages as tasks with one click, setting task reminders to arrive by email/SMS/push notification, and grouping tasks into projects or splitting them into subtasks for better organization.
The web-based version of Todoist is one of the largest and most long-lived task management softwares available and is frequently praised for its constant innovation. Most recently, Todoist was lauded by TechCrunch and LifeHack for having been the first and only task-manager to be constructed upon the powerful HTML5 language.
With Todoist’s creators spanning three continents, the multi-lateral development of the new application was facilitated by the company’s own Wedoist software – a realtime collaboration and project management solution.
Intent on creating tools for global professionals like those behind Doist, Amir Salihefendic the founder of Todoist comments: “Everything we do (and everything we will do) is centered around working together virtually across the world. Our new mobile apps are just a small stepping stone to something much bigger.”
