It was a labor of love, but a lot of fun

Now more than ever, Americans are working harder than ever to support their families, lifestyle and faith. National recording artist Lynn Morgan feels his latest album is a symbol for those people.
On Nov. 10, the Michigan musician released his ninth album titled “There’s Work to be Done,” representing hardworking Americans with an array of positive music that ensures them through God, everything is under control.
“There’s work to be done in an analogy that we need to keep showing the world that we care,” Morgan said. “That’s what it’s really all about.”
Recorded and mixed at Morgan’s personal studio, LM Studio, in Michigan, Work features 14 tracks with music for all kinds of tastes: blues, country and Christian soul. An array of five talented artists, including Roy Scoutz, Time Rowley, Mike Lawless, Rick Armstrong and Kathy Cunningham, took part in creating this album, which has been in the works since February.
The album was then mastered by Grammy nominee and Dove Award winner John Mayfield at Mayfield Mastering in Nashville.
“It was a labor of love, but a lot of fun,” said Morgan, who wrote all the songs on the album except “I'd Rather Have Jesus.”
The title track of the album is a country tune that allows listeners to relax with the playful guitar melodies and Morgan’s baritone voice, while “The Buckeye Fields” is a song that will take the hardworking Michigan residents back to the time of the Buckeye oil fields.
