CPI Card Group Expands High Frequency Contactless Card En-coding Capabilities in Nevada Facility

CPI Card Group, a global leader in financial and commercial card production and related services, announced today that the company has expanded capabilities in its Nevada facility to support High Frequency contactless card encoding to support growing demand for both payment and non-payment contactless card programs.

The new equipment with associated software and hardware security modules, supports small and large volume HF (High Frequency 13.56mhz) contactless card encoding and enables CPI to provide a complete in-house solution for the production, encoding and fulfillment of High Frequency contactless cards. This expansion will support multiple card programs including membership, identification, loyalty and closed loop payment schemes as well as ticketing to support programs including transit, special event and theme parks.

The additional capabilities add to CPI Nevada’s extensive range of existing products manufactured at the facility including retail gift cards, multipack gift cards and Loyalty and Membership cards.
