Momentum’s desire to merge corporate social responsibility efforts with the referral process resulted in a new loyalty campaign - the Infinite Referral Rewards program. The program is designed so that when a referred business becomes a Momentum customer, the participant not only receives a cash bonus, but also supports the disaster preparation and recovery efforts of the largest charity in the nation - United Way of America.
For every line activation driven by a referral, participants earn a cash reward, and Momentum sends a cash donation on the customer’s behalf to the United Way Disaster Response Fund. The referral program also includes a “Pay It Forward” option that gives participants the opportunity to contribute a percentage of their referral credit to their local United Way. The program has no maximum reward restrictions so that customers can easily refer, reward, and repeat.
“The Infinite Referral Rewards program is based on a word-of-mouth rewards system - the more referrals we get, the more donations we’re able to pass on. It’s a win-win situation all around. When selecting a charity for the new referral program, Momentum wanted to continue working with United Way, and the Disaster Response Fund is a charitable effort that has timely impact - both in helping to rebuild disaster-ridden areas locally and to revitalize communities in the Northeastern part of country in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
