Quentin Tarantino hinted at his retirement in the latest issue of Playboy magazine as he promotes his eighth film, Django Unchained.

The director who wrote and directed films such as Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill and Reservoir Dogs said that stopping after his tenth film would be ideal, and make an artistic statement.

He added that older directors don’t make better films and that he didn’t want to be an old man filmmaker. Tarantino turns 50 next year, which is when his latest film hits UK Cinemas.

Django Unchained follows the friendship of a slave and a bounty hunter as they exact revenge on a slave-owning plantation owner. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L Jackson and Jonah Hill as well as a cameo from Tarantino himself.

8 Ball are big fans of the director and stock a wide range of movie t-shirts inspired by his films, such as Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown and Reservoir Dogs in both men’s and women’s styles. The cool t shirts feature classic film lines as well as brands invented by Tarantino such as Big Kahuna Burger, Red Apple Cigarettes and Jack Rabbit Slims.

A recent vote on 8 Ball’s Facebook page saw Pulp Fiction emerge as the most popular of Tarantino’s films.
